Applied Physics
The really smug feeling that you get from being a Physicist arises out of the confidence that you can dismiss every other field of study in this universe as just "Applied Physics".

Its a pleasant surprise to see the Last Humanist blog after 2 years! :)
As a mathematician, I must defend math too! Physics surely is, and will remain a study that stands out, but if not for mathematics...physics wouldn't be as beautiful and elegant as it is. Mathematicians are known to perform magic with strikingly simple ideas! :)
